The Blueberry Farm | March

A few weeks ago I traveled down to Washougal to photograph the last (sniff) installment of a photo project created with Jordan and Luke. It has been such a blessing to visit them over the past 12 months. Every time I visit, I'm reminded of just how refreshing strong friendships can be. Even though we rarely talk outside of my visits (because #lifehappens), whenever we do catch up it is as if no time has passed. In recent years I've come to cherish these types of friendships, as it has become evident that they are few and far between.

What a treat to witness the change on their property in just one year! They went from true "fixer upper" status to living in a beautifully curated home on land brimming with promise of a bountiful summer. We spent the first half hour or so in their sitting room just catching up on life (which quickly became like a therapy session for all of us...in the best sense), while being bathed in the most glorious sunlight. Of course, once we were done shooting in the house and went to go outside we were greeted with plenty of rain. Ha! Such is life. It made for great images, though, and I'm very proud to share this last set with you.

In case you need a refresher, here are a few before/after pics to illustrate just how awesome Jordan and Luke are:

The last time I visited the farm, everything was just encased in a sheet of very thick ice. Jordan has been working hard to get her garden ready for spring and summer, and I cannot wait to see what she's able to harvest this year.

The top photo is from my very first session last February. The floors had already been done by the time I arrived, but I love how this space has come together with just a little bit of paint and some carefully curated statement pieces. Love this!

This is by far my favorite before & after comparison. Look at that kitchen space!! It's like something straight out of a magazine.
